I saw a shark!

We went to the beach... 2 men had their fishing poles planted in the sand... huge reels on the poles. The men sat under an umbrella in their chairs until they got some action. They reeled in this fellow... an almost 6 foot shark. They measured it and had their picture taken with it and then let it go.

How nice to finish a project! .... or two

Snowmen wall quilts.... I would like to make them all. I just love to do them. ... but I will have to start hanging some in someone else's house soon.

and... when I did the visit to Crab Apple Hill Studio during a shop hop... the stitiching was their pattern given to us as a gift.

The one million pillowcase challenge

AllPeopleQuilt.com and Better Homes and Gardens has issued a challenge to quilters/sewers to make ONE MILLION pillowcase and donate to charity in 2010. I went thru my stash of fabric and here are 12 I donated to charity this week. I will add them the the count on their site which is over 9,000 pillowcases donated this week.

A time to remember

Those of you who know us best know this past month included the funeral for Roger. The experiences of life cause us to look ahead to the future, to look back and reflect and to look up to our creator. We loved our time together as a family and with friends amid the tears and sorrow.
