The finished "Lazy Sunday" mystery quilt.
Another finished mystery quilt. I guess I am hooked on mystery quilts.
Bonnie Hunter from Quiltville.com kicks off another mystery quilt in a few weeks and I am thinking strongly of doing it too. I do hope to work with some other colors.
Quilting has become a wonderful hobby to me and it looks like that is all I do and think about by what I post on here. I guess my endeavor to keep things light and impersonal is the reason for my "fabric" postings.
I took the outdoor photos at N and S house off their back deck. I find it difficult to get good photos of quilts.
My friend Sally F in Oregon has made this same quilt and it traveled all the way across the country to be quilted like I quilted mine. We will have to post the twin when it is complete.

Bumper boats and race tracks
I always wish I had gotten more photos. The family time together went so fast. The kids loved the bumper boats and the race tracks. It looks like the adults loved them too.
We got to visit with some friends we have cherished over the years and also celebrated an early birthday.

The start of a new quilt.... PINEAPPLE CRAZY
This is a huge quilting project. I can't believe I am even doing it. These blocks are paper pieced. There are 12,000 pieces in this quilt, I have 84 five inch blocks of 224 made so far and that doesn't count for the border blocks or the corner blocks. I do love the pattern and results are stunning. That is what keeps me going and sewing.
If I get it done by February 2014 I may enter it in the local quilt show. I will have to keep at it to get it done. It is very time consuming!
